Managed IT Support

Business IT support, on-site visits included, not charged extra

We look after the computers, servers and systems small businesses run on. When something breaks we fix it remotely in minutes or drive over the same day. That visit is in the monthly plan rather than on a separate invoice.

What business IT support actually covers

Business IT support is the ongoing service that keeps your computers, servers, email and network working: a helpdesk for day-to-day problems, plus the monitoring, patching and backups that stop problems happening.

The difference between providers is rarely the technology. Everybody uses much the same monitoring agent, antivirus and backup platform. It is how quickly a real engineer reaches you, and whether that engineer will physically come to your office.

  • Remote helpdesk answered by engineers who know your setup
  • On-site visits included in the plan, not invoiced afterwards
  • Monitoring, patching, servers, backups and email administration
  • A fixed monthly fee per user, with the prices published

Common problems

The problem with remote-only IT support

Support you are reluctant to call is not support. That hesitation is the real cost of a call-out charge.

  • The printer will not connect, and no remote session has ever fixed that.

Somebody comes out and stands in front of it, at no extra charge.

  • A new starter is sat waiting for a laptop nobody has set up.

They arrive to a built machine, a mailbox and the right group memberships.

  • A machine will not boot and the person who uses it is doing nothing.

Same working day on site for anything that stops you trading.

  • You hesitate before ringing because a van leaving the building costs extra.

On-site is inside the monthly fee, so there is nothing to weigh up.

  • A dozen small faults have gone unreported because none felt worth a call-out.

Small things get fixed while they are still small, which is the whole point.

  • You explain the problem three times before anyone opens a laptop.

One team, one number, no triage layer and no overseas call centre.

What it covers

Our services

Everything below is covered by the monthly plans, and each has its own page with the detail.

Three plans with published prices, on-site included from £70 per user, and a coverage area measured in miles.

    Monthly Support Plans

    On-Site & Remote

Windows and Linux servers, physical and virtual, backed up to two places with restores tested rather than assumed.

    Servers & Backups
  • Computer Repair

Component-level repair of business laptops and desktops, on site or on the bench, instead of a replacement quote.

  • Cyber Security

Proportionate safeguards for a business your size, plus Cyber Essentials preparation. No scare tactics.

  • Networks and WiFi

Coverage surveyed rather than guessed, firewalls configured, and the dead spot in the back office fixed.

  • Cloud Migration

The rest of what we cover

Not everything needs its own page. These are all in the plan.

  • Printers and office devices

Setup, driver problems, scan-to-email, network printing and shared device configuration. Printers cause more support tickets than almost anything else in a small office, and they are exactly the sort of job that needs someone physically present.

  • Networks, Wi-Fi and VPNs

Router and firewall configuration, Wi-Fi coverage and positioning, business broadband setup and secure remote access. If your signal drops in the back office or staff cannot reach files from home, we resolve it.

  • Starters and leavers

A new starter arrives with a built machine, a mailbox, the right group memberships and a working desk. A leaver is offboarded properly, which matters more than most businesses realise until it has gone wrong once.

  • Co-managed support

We work alongside in-house staff and other providers regularly, covering the areas they do not handle or taking on the day-to-day helpdesk so internal people can focus on projects.

What it costs

Three plans, published prices, on-site as the visible step-up. Full detail, coverage area and terms are on the plans page.

  • Remote

    from £40

    per user, per month

For teams outside easy driving range, or who genuinely never need someone in the room.

    Support

    from £70

    per user, per month

Our standard plan, and what most Nottinghamshire businesses are on. On-site visits are part of the fee.

  • Complete

    from £100

    per user, per month

For businesses with compliance pressure, or who would rather we turned up before something breaks.

Servers are priced separately at £60–100 per server, per month. Covers monitoring, patching, backup verification and restore testing on Windows and Linux servers, physical or virtual. Priced on role and size rather than a flat rate, because a domain controller and a line-of-business database are not the same job.

Why Nottinghamshire businesses choose us

  • On-site is included

Every monthly plan includes on-site visits within our coverage area. You never weigh up whether a problem is worth the call-out fee, which means small faults get fixed while they are still small.

  • We repair, we do not just replace

Our engineers open machines. Component-level repair, storage and memory upgrades, and recovery from failures other providers write off as a hardware refresh. It keeps your capital costs down and your kit in service longer.

  • Genuinely local

We are based in Mansfield and our engineers cover the county in person. Ashfield, Chesterfield, Worksop, Bolsover, Hucknall and Nottingham are all a short drive, which is why same-day on-site is a realistic promise rather than a marketing line.

  • One team, one number

The same engineers who know your setup answer the phone. No ticket queue, no triage layer, no overseas call centre, and no repeating your problem to three people before anyone opens a laptop.

Need something that is not listed?

Ask us. This page covers the work we do most often, not the limit of what we can help with. Business technology rarely stays inside neat categories, and a lot of what we handle started as a client asking whether we could take a look at something.

If it plugs in, connects to your network, or sits between your team and getting their work done, start with a phone call. We will tell you straight away whether it is something we can pick up, and if it needs a specialist alongside us, we will arrange that and manage it for you. Either way you make one call and get one answer.

Call us to talk it through

Already with somebody else?

Most of the businesses on our plans came from another provider, and almost none of them left because of one catastrophe. They left after a year or two of small things: response times that drifted, a call-out charge that made them stop ringing, and the growing sense that nobody there knew their setup any more.

The switch itself is far less dramatic than it feels from the inside. Your email, files and applications are not moved. What changes is who holds the keys and who is watching, and run in the right order it produces no downtime at all.

IT support across Nottinghamshire

Remote support reaches anywhere in the UK. On-site coverage is strongest across the towns within driving distance of Hucknall, and there is a page for each of them covering the local trade, the business parks and what we actually see there.

The county hub covers the lot: IT support in Nottinghamshire.

Frequently asked questions

If the answer is not here, ask us. You will get a straight one, from someone who does the work.

Mon–Fri, 9am–5:30pm

What is included in business IT support?

A helpdesk for day-to-day problems, background monitoring and patching, antivirus, backups, and user administration for starters, leavers and mailboxes. Our plans add on-site visits inside the coverage area, hardware repair labour and a named engineer who knows your setup.

Do you charge extra for on-site visits?

No. On-site visits are included in our monthly support plans within our Nottinghamshire coverage area. Pay-as-you-go clients are charged for on-site time at our standard hourly rate, which is one of the main reasons most clients move onto a plan.

How quickly can you get to us?

Remote support usually starts within the hour, and most issues are resolved in that first session. Where a visit is needed, we aim for the same working day across Hucknall, Nottingham, Mansfield and the surrounding towns. Urgent problems that stop a business trading are prioritised over routine work.

Can you support us if we already have someone doing our IT?

Yes. We work alongside in-house staff and other providers regularly, covering the areas they do not handle or taking on the day-to-day helpdesk so internal people can focus on projects. This is usually called co-managed support and it is more common than people expect.

How many staff do we need before IT support is worth it?

It starts making financial sense somewhere around five users, and it is clearly worth it by ten. Below that, most businesses are better served pay-as-you-go, and we will tell you if that is where you are rather than selling you a plan you do not need yet.

What size businesses do you support?

Mostly five to fifty staff: small firms with no in-house IT, across trades, care, home services and professional practices. That is the size where one supplier covering both the building and the looking-after genuinely saves money rather than just sounding tidy.

What happens on the first day if we switch to you?

We audit what you have, document it, take over the monitoring and antivirus, and fix the things the audit turns up, which is usually backups that were never tested and three admin accounts belonging to people who left. Your team keeps working throughout; the changeover happens underneath them.
