Websites
Web design in Nottingham, built to bring in the work
Web design in Nottingham with one aim: turning the people already searching for what you do into enquiries. Fast, mobile-first sites that feed straight into the booking system, CRM or inbox behind them, hosted and looked after by the same team.
- Live in 2–4 weeks
- From £249
- Hosting and support by the same team
Common problems
The reasons people call us about their website
If two or three of these are yours, the site is costing you enquiries rather than bringing them in.
-
The site looks fine but the phone never rings because of it.
We work out who lands on each page and what we want them to do next, then design to that.
-
It crawls on a phone, which is where three quarters of your visitors are.
Built mobile-first, images sized properly, Core Web Vitals measured rather than hoped for.
-
You cannot find yourself on Google for the work you actually do.
Page titles, headings, structured data, a sitemap and your Google Business Profile set up alongside.
-
Enquiries arrive as emails that get missed in a shared inbox.
Forms land in the CRM, the calendar or the system, not just somebody's inbox.
-
A text change means waiting a fortnight for whoever built it.
You get a site your team can edit, and the training to do it without ringing us.
-
The person who built it has stopped answering the phone.
We host and support what we build, so there is one number and one team afterwards.
What a small business website is actually for
A small business website has one job: turn someone who is already looking for what you do into an enquiry. Everything else either serves that or gets in the way of it.
So we start by working out who is landing on the page, what they are trying to find out, and what we want them to do next. The design follows that decision rather than leading it.
- Who each page is for, agreed before anyone opens a design tool
- One clear next step per page: call, enquire or book
- A phone number that is reachable from anywhere on the site
How we build
Four things we hold to on every site, whether it is five pages or fifty.
-
Built to convert
Every page points at one next step: call, enquire or book. Clear calls to action, a phone number that is always reachable, and no dead ends where a visitor runs out of road.
-
Fast and mobile-first
Designed for a phone on a patchy signal first and a desktop second. Images in modern formats at the right size, no render-blocking scripts, and Core Web Vitals we actually measure rather than hope for.
-
Findable
Proper page titles, headings that describe content, structured data, an XML sitemap and a Google Business Profile set up alongside. Local search is where your enquiries come from.
-
Connected to the rest of it
Enquiries land in the CRM, bookings land in the calendar, orders land in the system. A form that only sends an email is a form that eventually gets missed.
What is included in a SetWeb website
Every build, whatever the size.
- A custom design built around your brand, not a bought template with your logo dropped in
- Fully responsive layouts tested on real devices, not just a browser window dragged narrow
- Enquiry forms with email alerts and spam filtering that does not eat real messages
- Copywriting help, because most businesses explain themselves far better out loud than in writing
- On-page SEO, structured data and Google Business Profile setup
- Fast UK hosting with SSL, included for the first year
- Analytics configured with conversion tracking on forms and phone-number taps
- Training so your team can make the small changes without waiting on us
- Ongoing support from the same people who built it
Websites that are more than websites
A good proportion of what we build sits somewhere between a website and a piece of software, because that is what the business actually needed.
That is the advantage of having developers rather than designers build your site. If the enquiry form should really be a quoting tool, we can tell you what that would take and what it would cost. If it should stay a form, we will say that too.
- Booking systems that show real availability, not an enquiry form
- Customer portals where clients see their own jobs and documents
- Ordering systems that feed the kitchen or the workshop directly
Web design across Nottinghamshire
We work with businesses across the county and beyond, and there are separate pages covering the towns where we do the most work: the local trade, the business parks and the kinds of firm actually based there.
- Web design in Nottingham, city-centre offices, the Creative Quarter and professional services across NG1 to NG7
- Web design in Hucknall, High Street trade and the units off Watnall Road, fifteen minutes down the A611
- Web design in Mansfield, manufacturing, logistics and office sites along the A38 corridor
- Web design in Arnold, independent firms and trade counters on the northern edge of the city
- Web design in Beeston, the high street, the university spin-outs and the Boots estate
- Web design in Ilkeston, Erewash valley trade and the industrial estates across the Derbyshire border
Need something that is not listed?
Ask us. This page covers the work we do most often, not the limit of what we can help with. A lot of what we build started as a client asking whether we could take a look at something.
If it plugs in, connects to your network, or sits between your team and getting their work done, start with a phone call. We will tell you straight away whether it is something we can pick up, and if it needs a specialist alongside us, we will arrange that and manage it for you. Either way you make one call and get one answer.

Frequently asked questions
If the answer is not here, ask us. You will get a straight one, from someone who does the work.

How much does a small business website cost?
Our websites start at £249 for a five-page starter site and £499 for a brand-led business site, with online shops and larger builds from £1,250. You get a fixed price up front rather than an estimate that moves, and the first year of hosting is included.
How long does a website take to build?
Most sites go live within two to four weeks. The variable is almost never our end. It is how quickly we get your content, photos and sign-off. We will tell you the realistic timeline before we start rather than the optimistic one.
Do I own the website?
Yes, completely. The site, the domain and the content are yours. You are never locked in, and if you decide to move hosting elsewhere we will hand everything over rather than making it difficult.
Can you redesign an existing website?
Yes, and a fair amount of our work is exactly that. We can rebuild what is there, keep the URLs that already rank, redirect the ones that change, and take over hosting and support at the same time.
Will my website show up on Google?
Every site we build ships with proper page titles, headings, structured data, a sitemap and a Google Business Profile set up alongside it. That gives you the best possible start on local searches, though ranking for competitive terms is an ongoing job rather than a switch we flip at launch.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes. We build sites your team can edit and show you how, so text changes, new pages and photo swaps never mean waiting on us or paying for an hour of someone else’s time.
Do you handle hosting after launch?
Yes. Hosting, SSL, backups, updates and monitoring are all handled by the same team that built the site, so there is nobody to chase when something needs changing.
