On-Site and Remote Support
On-site IT support in Nottingham, plus remote help that actually resolves things
Most faults are fixed remotely in minutes. The ones that are not need somebody in the room, and on-site IT support in Nottingham is where providers quietly differ: ours is included in the plan rather than invoiced afterwards. Same working day for anything stopping you trading.
- Same-day on-site
- Remote start within the hour
- No call-out charge in area
When remote works, and when it does not
Remote sessions handle software faults, email problems, configuration changes, permissions and user questions. Most issues never need a visit at all, and being able to start in under an hour beats being able to arrive in four.
What remote cannot do is plug a cable in. A machine that will not boot, a printer that has stopped talking to the network, a docking station that only works on Tuesdays, a new starter with a box of kit on the desk. None of those are solved down a wire. That is the point where a lot of support contracts quietly stop being support, and it is what this page and our IT support service exist to fix.
Both halves are part of the same plan, see business IT support.
What we do on site
-
Workstations and hardware
Builds, swaps, upgrades, docking stations, monitors and the cabling around a desk. Machines that will not boot get diagnosed in the room rather than collected and guessed at.
-
Network and Wi-Fi
Router and firewall work, access point positioning, dead spots in the back office, and the switch in the cupboard nobody has looked at since it was installed.
-
New starters
Machine built, accounts created, mailbox and groups set, printer mapped, desk working. Done before their first morning rather than during it.
-
Moves and installations
Office moves, new sites and equipment installs. These are quoted separately from the plan, because a move is a project rather than a fault.
Response times we will actually commit to
Remote support usually starts within the hour during business hours, and most issues are resolved in that first session. Where a visit is needed we aim for the same working day across Hucknall, Nottingham, Mansfield and the surrounding towns.
Anything stopping a business trading jumps the queue ahead of routine work: a server down, a whole office without email, a card machine that will not process. We would rather be honest about that ordering than promise everyone a one-hour on-site response we could not keep on a bad Monday.
Need something that is not listed?
Ask us. If it plugs in, connects to your network, or sits between your team and getting their work done, start with a phone call and we will tell you straight away whether we can pick it up.

Frequently asked questions
If the answer is not here, ask us. You will get a straight one, from someone who does the work.
Mon–Fri, 9am–5:30pm
How quickly can an engineer get to us?
Remote support usually starts within the hour, and most issues are resolved in that first session. Where a visit is needed, we aim for the same working day across Hucknall, Nottingham, Mansfield and the surrounding towns. Urgent problems that stop a business trading are prioritised over routine work.
Is there a limit on how many on-site visits we get?
Not a counted allowance. Included visits cover reactive faults and routine work during business hours inside the coverage area. Projects, office moves and installations are quoted separately so nobody is guessing what counts.
What is the coverage area for included visits?
About fifteen miles from Mansfield, covering Mansfield, Ashfield, Chesterfield, Worksop, Bolsover, Alfreton, Ollerton, Hucknall, Arnold and Nottingham. Beyond that, out to 30 miles, we still attend on a scheduled basis with travel quoted before we set off.
Do you support staff working from home?
Yes. Home workers are covered by the same remote support as everyone else, and we handle the VPN, remote desktop and file access that makes working from home actually workable rather than technically possible.
How does remote access work and is it secure?
Sessions are started by an agent already installed on the machine, and unattended access is restricted and logged. For anything ad hoc, the session needs your member of staff to approve it at the screen before we can see anything.
Can you help outside business hours?
Out-of-hours work is arranged rather than included, normally for migrations, upgrades and anything that would take the office offline during trading. Emergency cover outside hours is available on the Complete plan by arrangement.
